At the age of 8, Darius Solomon would volunteer to follow his master Weskeres and fight in a conflict that would change the course of his destiny forever. This conflict was the Great Sith War. Fighting with the Republic against the Krath and the Mandalorian Crusaders in numerous battles, it was during the defense of Coruscant that Darius Solomon – now a respected warrior amongst his comrades – would meet an enemy that even he could not hope to defeat. Sith.

When the battle was over and the Republic was victorious, a Jedi Knight named Deena Rann was scouring the battlefield for the origin of a great power she had felt during the heat of battle. What she found was an Echani boy, standing over a Sith corpse, mourning the loss of his fallen master.

Many years later Jedi Master Darius Solomon – whilst passing through Hutt Space – would sense an individual – strong in The Force – on the planet Sleheyron. There, he would free a Twi’lek orphan from her ruthless masters, and bring her into the Jedi Order as his apprentice. During the Mandalorian Wars, that apprentice would later betray him, and would watch as Darius Solomon, Jedi Master, Echani Battle Master, fell to what she assumed would be his death.

At the age of 8, whilst she was preparing food for her master’s guests, she felt an unusual, painful sensation that rendered her unconscious. Later that day, she would learn that her mother was killed by an over-zealous bounty hunter who was employed by her master as a bodyguard. For the next 2 years, the girl was forced to work twice as hard by her cruel master to compensate for her dead mother’s absence. Yet even in the darkest of hours, she would never forget the one moment where she felt as if she was connected to all life – no matter how vile – that existed on the Hutt controlled planet she had come to know as home.

Many years later - and now a Jedi, her experiences as a slave would inspire her to answer the Jedi Revan’s call to save the Outer Rim from Mandalorian tyranny. Leaving everything of significance behind – including Solomon, her father figure, she followed Revan to the Mandalorian Wars.

She was separated from her master during Darth Malak’s betrayal, but ultimately would reunite with Revan and participate in the quest to search for the Star Forge.

Choosing to offer his aid to the Sith assassin, Kobayashi proves himself to be an invaluable ally to Revan and Shadow in their quest to seek out the Korriban Wastes and Darius Solomon.

At the age of 10, she was taken from the Echani and trained in the Jedi ways on Dantooine. It was there that she first met her uncle’s new apprentice, a former Twi’lek slave who Solomon referred too as “Matilda”. They quickly became friends, and would often spar together as her uncle and Matilda’s master – Solomon – looked on.
