After many years of an almost constant development, I'm at last proud to present my greatest KoTOR Mod: Bikini Summer Par... I mean Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge!

For the time being, I have uploaded BoS:SR to a temporary host at megaupload until KOTORFiles is fixed. You can find the download link here.

You do NOT need to have the original BoS installed for BoS:SR to work. The original BoS is included within the BoS:SR package.

A collection of 70 BoS:SR release screenshots can be found in the BoS:SR media section.

I'd also like to take a moment to announce my retirement from KoTOR modding. It's been a fun (and obsessive) hobby of mine over these past few years, but it's now time for me to move on. Though I'll still be supporting BoS:SR should the need for patches arise.

Feel free to discuss or post your BoS:SR impressions in its thread over at Lucasforum. Though please use the [hidden] tags for spoilers so you don't ruin it for others!

And most importantly, enjoy the mod!

Just a quick note to say that I've managed to find a work around for the TSLPatcher problem I was having, and everything is now fine. Also, the last remaining voice over retakes have been delivered and are now implemented into BoS:SR. Unless a major bug is found during beta testing, which I highly doubt considering the number of months I've spent polishing, it shouldn't be too long now before I can finally get this thing out the door.

Update time. Bar around 6 or so rerecordings of voice files that I'm still awaiting from some of the voice actors, BoS:SR is essentially complete. I'm busy now creating it's installation file using TSL Patcher, and when that's complete, it should be possible to install BoS:SR on top of your current mod configuration without any conflictions. Though unfortunately there's a weird bug in the TSLPatcher software that's preventing me from progressing any further at the moment, so I'm pretty much stuck until it's fixed.

After this stage of the project is complete, there's the final beta testing phase, and then it's release time!

Also, as I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, both BoS and BoS:SR have their own opening .bik movies. I've already shown the one which plays at the beginning of BoS:SR, and now here is the one that plays at the beginning of the Brotherhood of Shadow quest line. Enjoy!

UUpdate time. My own final session of BoS:SR bug fixing and polishing is nearing it's conclusion, and should be ready for a final round of beta testing hopefully in the coming weeks. Also, I've got a special treat to showcase today. It is the opening in-game .bik movie that will serve to "introduce" the Solomon's Revenge portion of the mod. You will notice that it isn't a traditional Star Wars crawl, which is completely intentional on my part. Enjoy!

Update time. The voice implementation is all done, and as you would expect, it makes one hell of a difference. On the whole, there's around 850 lines of voiced dialogue, so when compared with say - the original Brotherhood of Shadow, the difference will most definitely be noticeable.

So, what happens now? Well, at the moment I'm playing through the whole thing with a critical eye, fixing mainly any text issues which haven't yet been corrected. After which, the process will be repeated with a number of beta testers. After that, well, that's when the fun begins. ;)

Also, I'm aware that due to the collapse of FileFront, and consequently KOTORFiles, none of my mods are currently online. This hopefully will only be temporary problem, and largely depends on how long it takes for a KOTORfiles successor to appear.

Update time. The voice recording phase of the project is pretty much finished. Now it's just a matter of implementing those voice files into the game and creating lip syncing files for each and every one of them. For those of you unfamiliar with the process of creating .lip files, it's a very long and tedious process, and considering BoS:SR has around 760ish lines of spoken dialogue - is sure to drive me slowly insane.

Though on the bright side, I'm due a holiday from University the week after next, so that should free up my schedule somewhat.

Also, on a final note, I have a rough estimate of the BoS:SR's eventual file size. Expect it to be somewhere between 1 and 2 GB. Possibly closer to the former.

Anyways, that's all for today.

Progress report time. The struggle to find voice actors for Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge is now over, with all roles cast. Although 2 roles are still in the process of being recorded, so this stage of the project isn't quite over as of yet.

Also, I have a new trailer to showcase, which you can find below. This one is a little more "cinematic" than previous trailers, so I hope you enjoy it that little bit more. This will be the last trailer before the mod's release.

As always, comments are welcome. Feel free to post them on the tagboard.

A relatively small update today; biographies for Daemon Drexl and Verbal have been added to the character biographies page in the BoS:SR section.

Just to update people where the project is now on a whole. Right now the speed of progress is solely dependent on my ability to find willing voice actors, and then for those voice actors to then record dialogue. Finding willing voice actors at this stage isn't a problem, it's the fact that the delivery of the completed recordings has proven to be a very slow and tedious process; with maybe a week at least passing by before voice actors respond to my emails with or without any actual recorded lines.

I wish I could go faster, but this is an unfortunate truth I'm just going to have to accept for the time being. Though on the bright side, the amount of dialogue that has been recorded and implemented in the game is greater than the dialogue that has yet to be recorded.

Out of 23 parts; 16 are completed and implemented into the game, 4 are cast yet haven't yet been recorded, and 3 parts still remain to be cast.

As promised, there has been another update. Firstly, a video showcasing a section of gameplay from the Battle of Malachor V section, which will grant you a first glimpse of the fully voiced Mandalore the Ultimate character.

Secondly, a new section describing some (but not all) of the new areas you will be able to play through when Brotherhood of Shadow Solomon’s Revenge is finally released.

New Locations

I’ve added a good deal of information about my in-development Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon’s Revenge project. So far this has included a compilation of all released screenshots and videos, a wallpaper, descriptions and screenshots of all new items, character biographies, and information detailing the mod’s quests.

There will be more to come, including more character biographies, a new area guide, and possibly a new video. Oh, and one of these days, hopefully sooner rather than later, the mod itself.
